Your goal in becoming healthy should NEVER center solely around your weight.

Because you are still growing at 13, your caloric intake is something your should really discuss with your pediatrician and NOT the forum here. Only the doctor who sees you and knows your health background can truly assess what is best for you in terms of healthy diet and exercise regimines.

Italian salad dressing isn't bad for you. It's the AMOUNT most people dump over their salad that creates a problem. 1 tablespoon of salad dressing of ANY flavor is considered a serving size. They do make low fat Italian.

5'5" and 124 is a very good height and weight. It will be very difficult for you to achieve the weight loss that you want because you probably don't need to lose any weight at all. Work out and eat right anyway. It will help you maintain what you have.
Well let me put it this way....I'm the same height as you are and am 140 pounds and I'm the average weight for our specific height...according to BMI (body mass index) people of our height who are in the "normal" weight range can weigh anywhere from 115-155 pounds. Crunches sound good and make sure you do cardio too because that is good for your body overall (love handles, thighs, etc). Try oil and vinegrette for salads...they might not be the tastiest, but they are the healthiest...or you can still have Italian dressing and just use that spray dressing or whatever it's called...3 days a week sound good enough for exercising...good luck and hope I helped! :)
